Syntax Distribution partners with the organization Missional Music to give its vast audience more than just great music-it's a chance to give to an important cause. Missional Music represents singers, musicians and other like-minded individuals coming together to spread hope and resources to impoverished areas. Headed up by longtime friend of Syntax Records-and member of Sackcloth Fashion-the multi-talented Sam Hart, Missional Music seeks to reach the unreached. The first project Missional Music.

Volume One hits stores July 9th 2013, with 100% of the profit allocated to help the people in Nepal.

"When Sam told me about his idea to launch Missional Music, I was thrilled to help him and be a part of it," says Syntax CEO Tim Trudeau. "It's exciting to see people launch compassionate capitalistic endeavors in spite of the increase in government regulations and other economically stifling conditions plaguing entrepreneurs right now."

Missional Music Volume One is the best in independent rock, worship and hip-hop compiled into a cohesive 12-track album. Some of the artists included are SixtyOne Ashes, Stefanie Kelly, The Mike Clark Band, Jeremiah Bonds and more.

"These artists are the real deal," Hart says. "Every one of them was super excited when they heard what we were doing and couldn't wait to be involved. The most encouraging part was observing how they didn't blink when they were told they wouldn't get anything out of it!"

The partnership of Syntax Distribution and Missional Music brings together good friends, bandmates, and a synergy of fresh ideas. Missional Music, working in conjunction with a distribution company that is at the forefront of the music scene gives the new organization a chance to tap into organizational inertia and hit the ground running.

"We've partnered with Syntax because we want to make our music available to as many people as possible. The more downloads, the more churches get planted. It's that simple, and Syntax has an incredible reach," Hart says. "We've never done this before and Syntax does it all the time. We know Syntax team and trust them. Not to mention they are cut from the same cloth have the same motivation for being in business."

Missional Music is a community of musicians and artists who desire to use their music to raise funds that support indigenous church-planting in areas that make up the 41 percent of the world that is considered "unreached". Its purpose is to gather disciples of Jesus Christ who make music for disciples, while making disciples around the world. To learn more, visit missionalmusic.org.
